Earliest political memory of the day #135

I was 9 years old when one morning there was a commotion in the yard. All the housewives were talking in conspiratorial and agitated tones across the fences that separated their properties. I was trying to understand what they were say but it was impossible. It was the first day of the junta in the (Athens) neighbourhood of the Forest of Haidari. This moment is vividly logged deep in my memory. The next seven years was deeply formative in the configuration of my anti-fascist convictions.
