Me and my cousins crammed at the open cargo area of my uncle’s pickup truck, driving to the village where the grown-ups were going to vote. We were having a blast, enjoying an actual feast. We were holding small flags and shouting out slogans for our kin’s party of favour. This involved a lot of honking, traffic and laughter.
